Makaku Music and Art Class was founded by Ms. Yolanda, a dedicated piano and music teacher who has been teaching piano to children for more than five years. Throughout her teaching journey, she has worked with young learners in three preschools and four music schools, gaining valuable experience in helping children discover the joy of music. Through these experiences, she developed a passion for creating fun, engaging, and meaningful learning environments where children can explore music in a way that feels natural and enjoyable.

A Performing Arts – Pop Jazz graduate of ISI Yogyakarta, with a background at PURWACARAKA and a passion for jazz, blues, and performing.

Mr. Dadeq

Mr. Dadeq took his first guitar lessons at PURWACARAKA music school Surabaya and Jember for 3 years. At the age of 18 he decided to study at the Indonesia Institute of the Arts Yogyakarta (ISI Yogyakarta) by majoring in Performing Arts – Pop Jazz. Here he delves into Traditional Jazz and modern jazz lessons. He is also active in various music communities in Yogyakarta such as Jogja Blues Forum, Jazz Mben Senen. During college, he was the Chairman of the electric guitar community called SEGAR (South Electric Guitar Saraswati) and KKM KOMPAZZ (Pop Jazz Community). In his Final Assignment, he made his own concert in a Chamber format named ROCKESTRA with his arrangement.

Does my child need music experience?

No prior experience is required. Our classes welcome beginners and help students build skills gradually.

What age groups can join?

We offer programs for toddlers, kids, teens, and adults, with activities suited to each age group. Ask our team which program is the best fit.

Are classes online or in person?

Most classes take place in person. Some programs also include online support or pre-recorded videos for practice at home.

Can we try a class first?

Trial classes may be available depending on the program and schedule. Contact us on WhatsApp to check availability.

What do we need to bring?

Basic instruments and materials are usually provided. Your teacher will let you know in advance if anything else is needed.

How big are the classes?

Classes are kept small so students receive guidance and attention. Group and private options depend on the program.

Can parents stay during class?

Parents of younger children are welcome to stay or observe. For older students, arrangements depend on the class format.

How do I register?

Contact us directly on WhatsApp. Our team will help with class selection, schedules, availability, and registration.

What happens if we miss a class?

Please let us know in advance when possible. Make-up classes or alternative arrangements may be available depending on your program's policy.

Are learning videos included?

Some programs include pre-recorded videos to support practice at home. Our team can confirm what is included in your chosen class.
